We worked with AXA to create a huge set of banners and EDM’s each month that reminded customers to stay safe.
People don’t like to think about insurance. Partly because it’s associated with accidents or worse. We helped the Asia Pacific team conceptualise, write copy, design & adapt for many sizes a set of banners and EDM’s each month that would play into recent events, festivals or whatever else we could think of to reinforce the idea that AXA Insurance provides solutions to live life to the fullest.
What we did: Each month we’d work with our copywriter to establish a theme or concept. From there, we’d develop rough comps in photoshop for client approval. One of the challenges was the lack of photography. We worked with stock photos & required immense photoshop layering & comping, but the finished results were always believable.
We focused on two main products: travel insurance & home insurance. Travel insurance allowed us to be daring with the visuals, going for the most exotic & adventurous locations where we could.
We come from a background of visual artists, so these kinds of projects - ones that require immense photoshop time - are a breath of fresh air.
Before we began, we developed a timetable of yearly events & holidays that would inspire the theme for each month. Whether it was religious holidays, a time to get away, or the football world cup - these became the backbone of our campaign each month.
For home insurance we focused on new couples who were getting set up in life. We offered them the products that enabled them to rest easy knowing that what they’ve built is in safe hands.
