EDB DIGI-WALL

Digital Prowess.
We created a real time data heavy digital wall for EDB’s foyer.

Singapore Economic and Development board approached us with a request to fill a huge screen TV positioned in their office entrance that would show off EDB’s technical prowess.

What we did: We designed and built a series of infographics showing real time internet usage and flight data. What follows is a series of test designs and the final version which made it to EDB’s lobby.

A SIMPLE
EXECUTION

While the data crunching may be sophisticated, the tech behind it is anything but. We simply hooked up the 9 screens to a laptop which sat behind the installation & ran the simulation in browser.

IMAGINING
INTERNET DATA

We partnered with Singapore’s internet bureau to retrieve real time internet usage data. With this we could display how much data was coming in and going out of Singapore over the course of a day, week, month and year.

VISUALISING
FLIGHT DATA

We also partnered with Changi Airport to retrieve real time flight information - times of departure and destinations. A cleaver use of Javascript allowed us to show the plane travelling along its trajectory.
