A handy app for sales staff to recommend the perfect vanity.
Our long time client American Standard came to us wanting a tool that would help their sales staff assist customers in choosing the right vanity for them. Since a large portion of their customers are either designers or architects & have specific space requirements, the application had to be both a catalogue, but also a powerful sales tool that allowed the user to dictate their style, available space, shelving requirements, even user type.
What we did:
We designed and developed a sophisticated iPad and iPhone application that not only made product recommendations, by utilising an in-app 3d rendering engine, we also built a module which also allowed sales staff to demonstrate just how many items could fit within the shelving areas.
Since the product range was so extensive, we had to find a simple way of refining based on taste & lifestyle. We developed 3 user profiles (parent, bachelor, diva) as a catch-all way of determining the outcome.
One of the most common user requests was for the ability to visualise just how many products could fit within the compartments. For this we developed an in-app 3d engine which allowed the user to drag & drop various bathroom items into the shelving areas provided.
Once the quiz was complete, the app recommended a selection of American Standard’s finest vanities that fit your criteria. Users could further refile & filter & even compare between models.
While the app functioned primarily as a recommendation engine, the content was very much rooted in products & collections. That meant a lot of American Standard's online content had to be fed into the app.
