Chinese New Year is coming and Netflix wanted to promote the holiday programme lineup by doing some fortune telling. We created an interactive Chinese zodiac that offered some words of wisdom. Chinese New Year is a big deal in places like Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan, so to up the excitement, Netflix wanted to celebrate by offering with all 12 fortunes of the Chinese Zodiac.

What we did: We designed and developed a fully interactive, responsive HTML driven Chinese zodiac, fully equipped with SVG animation and your own fortune card to share with friends.

Depending on which zodiac you fit into, we made recommendations as to what shows an animal like you may like to watch.

THE DRAGON

Upon selecting your character, we’ll show you your official Netflix character profile. The fortunes revealed were constructed from the shows being played over the Chinese New Year holiday.
