Building a website like a jigsaw puzzle.
We worked with WWF to create a new website in a rather unusual way.
WWF came to us wanting to know if we could help with a special request: to redesign their website without doing a redesign. Being a non-profit, the budgets weren’t huge, so we had to innovate.
What we did: We designed a strategy not of redesigning the site from the ground up, but by redesigning each and every individual component on the existing site in such a way the client could string them together in the CMS, almost like putting together a jigsaw out of many pieces.
An estimated 100 components were designed. A lot of them were interactive. Each one had to be designed knowing that it fit into a much larger template with many other components.
The content pages were designed with the same strategy. This gave the client the ability to construct page on the fly with no need for assistance.
