Director
Ken is the director of EIGHTFOUR. What does that mean? He does operations, HR, team management as well as oversees the entire Tech side of the business. One might say he’s one hell of a multi-tasker. Others say he’s obsessive. The wider team thinks both are true.
But just because he’s big on tech doesn’t mean he lacks in creative. Ken earned his chops through decades of leading tech teams within advertising agencies, collaborating with creatives & strategists to realise their vision.
On a day to day basis he’s fully involved in creative conceptualising and planning, developing various digital projects, working closely with our digital project manager, liaising with external resources support to project manage intensive digital projects and managing the team to provide solutions to all technical issues.
Direct & Picky. A typical tech dude who’s grown into management. Constantly made fun of for looking like Bruce Lee.
Getting away from my wife (kidding). I love what I do. I feel i’ve gotten better and better at it over the years and technology excites me.
You might say it’s typically Singaporean but I believe in hard work; to everyday give 100% to work and uphold high standards of delivery and response to clients. That’s why we started EIGHTFOUR – to offer a premium service to premium clients. I expect a lot from the wider team and I hold myself to the same standards.
Football football football, until I had to stop because of a knee injury. I believe in healthy mind healthy body, so I get outdoors and play sports or go to the gym as much as I can.
I enjoy following well-known & established people like Jurgen Klopp, Kanye, Phil Knight, Tony Robbins, Elon Musk, and professional sports people. I think you should surround yourself with inspirational people & learn from them. I might be a developer by trade but I’m deeply fascinated with business & marketing, how brands develop over time & how they communicate to their customers. I read the book Shoe Dog by Phil Knight, the founder of Nike, & consider it one of the most remarkable stories in the business world. It’s stories like this that compels me & the wider team to consider for each new project how we’re communicating with our audience through the digital medium.
I should also mention, I love Nike shoes so much that I’ve lost count of how many are gathering dust in my cabinet. It’s a problem.
Starts off with a skinny latte. No exceptions. Then work, go to gym and get some exercise, have a nice dinner & then return home.
We can do a lot
